Contessa Staffa Rosato IGT Puglia is the organic wine made only with Montepulciano grapes. His name is a tribute to the owner of the farm where the winery currently stands. It is characterized by a pink color with onion skin nuances, at the nose it offers splendid sensations of strawberry and other small red fruits. On the palate it impresses with its sapidity, aromatic persistence and a right balance between freshness and soft notes.
Contessa Staffa Rosato IGT Puglia thanks to their versatility, in addition to being preferred every time a white wine is too little and a red wine is too much, they can be combined with appetizers, fish, meat, rice, pasta and cheese. From the pleasant and fruity aromas, they are extremely pleasant and fresh.
Grape variety: pure Montepulciano
Vine: Trained using the “Pugliese trellis” and cordon method.
Yield: 90,000 kg. per hectare
Vinification: After maceration on the skins for 6 hours, the juice is cold filtered and allowed to ferment at a temperature of 16°C in steel tanks.
Sensory characteristics: A lovely pink colour with slight nuances of onion skin, the wine is reminiscent of wild strawberry and other small red berries. On the palate, the wine is remarkable for its flavour, aromatic persistence and strikes a perfect balance between velvety soft and crisp.
