Senzazolfo Rosso IGT Puglia is the organic wine made with Montepulciano and Nero di Troia grapes. Senzazolfo is the classic genuine wine as it used to be. The absence of sulphites makes the fruity characteristics of this wine more distinct and interesting than usual. In the glass it shows a beautiful intense and lively ruby red. Very pleasant olfactory notes of red fruits, sensations that are confirmed in the mouth with good freshness and not particularly strong tannins. It is therefore a wine for the whole meal and for all seasons.
Senzazolfo Rosso IGT Puglia is the ideal wine to combine with traditional dishes in particular to first courses with typical vegetables of the rural tradition, second courses of meat, also on a spit, and game. Enhances seasoned, fresh and cured cheeses.
Grape varieties: Montepulciano and uva di Troia
Vineyard: Trained to spurred cordon, with a yield of 70 quintals per hectare
Vinification: The grapes are harvested in the third week of October and then fermented together. Ambient yeasts present on the skin of the grapes are utilised, and no sulphites are used in the production of Senzazolfo (“Without surphur”). Thus, the entire winemaking process is totally natural, both in the length of fermentation and in its methods.
Sensory profile: The wine appears a dense, lively ruby red. The absence of sulphites yields a fruit-rich bouquet that is more decisive and intriguing than usual, with delicious aromas of wild red berryfruit, echoed impressively on the palate. The mouth is crisply delineated, with judicious, non-aggressive tannins. All of this makes Senzasolfo a wine for all dishes and all seasons.
